Background

With the release of KeySoft 8.0, users can chat with his or her friends via KeyChat, a new instant messaging client. As of now, only XMPP services, such as Google Talk, is supported. Many people who use Gmail would be pleased to know that there username and password can be used to activate Googletalk.

Procedure

With KeySoft 8.0 and higher:

1. From Main Menu, go to Chat (C), then Options (O), then go to Instant Messaging option (you cannot use a shortcut key here).
2. Then enter the following settings:
   • Username: your current Gmail username or email address.
   • Password: your Gmail password.
   • Port: 5222.

After you are done, press SPACE with E (ESC) to exit the list.
